Initial Consultation
A session typically begins with the practitioner or the individual (for self-use) discussing the presenting concern—whether emotional distress, physical symptoms, relationship challenges, or general well-being goals. The practitioner may ask about when the issue started, how it manifests, and what the client hopes to achieve. This conversation establishes context and helps guide the session direction.
Treatment
The core technique involves muscle testing (applied kinesiology), where the practitioner uses the client's arm or body resistance to identify trapped emotions. The practitioner asks yes/no questions about potential trapped emotions, hypothesizing that the body's muscular response (strong or weak) indicates truth or falsehood. Once an emotion is identified, the practitioner may locate where it is "stored" in the body and its origin (age or situation when trapped). Release is typically facilitated by the practitioner running a magnet or the client's own intention along the governing meridian (based on acupuncture meridian theory), combined with acknowledgment or verbal release statements. Some practitioners use visualization, intention, or emotional processing during this step.
After Treatment
Clients may report feeling lighter, calmer, or more energized immediately following a session. Some experience emotional release, such as crying or catharsis. Others notice subtle shifts in mood or perspective over hours or days. Practitioners often recommend journaling, staying hydrated, or allowing time for integration.
Follow-up Sessions
Many practitioners recommend multiple sessions, as clients may have multiple trapped emotions or layers of emotional patterns to address. Sessions may focus on different emotions, life periods, or aspects of the presenting issue. Some clients use Emotion Code as an occasional tool; others engage in regular sessions as part of ongoing self-care or therapeutic support.
