Initial Consultation
Your first Saku Reiki session typically begins with a consultation where the practitioner learns about your health history, current concerns, and wellness goals. This conversation helps the practitioner understand your energy state and any areas requiring particular attention. You'll be invited to discuss any physical discomfort, emotional stress, or imbalances you've noticed. The practitioner may also explain how Saku Reiki works and what to expect during treatment, answering any questions you have about the process.
Treatment
During the hands-on session, you remain fully clothed and lie on a treatment table in a calm, quiet space. The Saku Reiki practitioner places their hands lightly on or near your body, typically starting at the head and moving progressively down toward the feet, working with specific hand positions and techniques. You may feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation as energy is channeled through the practitioner's hands. Some practitioners incorporate Saku Reiki symbols during the treatment to enhance focus and energetic intention. The session typically lasts 45 to 90 minutes. Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful, or emotionally released during this time.
After Treatment
Following your session, you may feel calm, grounded, or energized—responses vary widely. The practitioner may offer water and suggest you rest briefly before leaving. Some people experience a temporary "healing response" (mild fatigue, emotional release, or temporary symptom shifts) as the body integrates the energetic work. You're encouraged to drink plenty of water, rest well, and notice any changes in the days following your session. Journaling your experience can help you track patterns and shifts in well-being.
Follow-up Sessions
Many practitioners recommend a series of sessions to deepen results, though frequency varies based on your individual needs and goals. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions initially, then monthly maintenance appointments. Others may book sessions as-needed during times of stress or transition. The practitioner will discuss a personalized plan with you and may adjust recommendations based on your response to treatment.
