Common questions
About Gyfts in general. Topic guides above go step by step.
What is Gyfts?
Gyfts is a condition-first discovery platform for holistic health. Instead of browsing by practitioner name or modality, you start from your health concern, such as anxiety, chronic pain or burnout, and find qualified practitioners who work with it. We cover the full MACH spectrum: Metaphysical, Alternative, Complementary and Holistic practices.
Is Gyfts free for seekers?
Yes. Creating a seeker account, searching for practitioners and reading condition and modality pages is free. You only pay when you book a session, at the price the practitioner sets.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. You can browse conditions, modalities and practitioner profiles without an account. You need a free seeker account to book a session or message a practitioner.
How do I know a practitioner is qualified?
Practitioners list their qualifications, certifications and professional memberships on their profile. A Verified badge means the Gyfts team has reviewed proof of those credentials. For regulated health practices, always check credentials independently as well.
What does the Verified badge mean?
It means the practitioner submitted proof of their main qualifications and professional memberships, and our team reviewed it. It confirms the credentials match what was submitted. It is not an endorsement of the modality or a guarantee of results.
Are practitioners on Gyfts regulated health professionals?
Some are and some are not. Holistic and complementary practice covers a wide range of regulation. Modality pages include evidence context and safety information so you can see what applies. For a diagnosed medical condition, speak to a licensed medical professional first.
Is the content on Gyfts medical advice?
No. Condition pages, modality descriptions and practitioner profiles are for education and information only. They are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always ask a qualified health provider about a medical condition.
Is my health information kept private?
Yes. Health information you share with a practitioner through Gyfts is private and not visible to other users. We follow GDPR and other applicable data protection law. Our Privacy Policy has the full details.
