The Mediterranean diet has the strongest evidence base for NAFLD, reducing liver fat markers in multiple trials. Reducing dietary fructose and sugar, increasing vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats, and consuming coffee (which has protective effects on the liver) are all evidence-supported approaches.

Are there supplements with evidence for NAFLD?
