Initial Consultation
Your first session typically begins with a consultation where the practitioner asks about your health history, current concerns, stress levels, and what you hope to achieve. They may inquire about your spiritual or energetic beliefs to tailor the approach. This conversation helps establish trust and allows the practitioner to understand your needs and any physical or emotional sensitivities. There is no pressure to adopt any particular belief system; the practitioner will explain their approach and ask for your informed consent.
Treatment
During the treatment, you will typically lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table in a calm, quiet environment. The practitioner may begin by centering themselves through meditation or intention-setting, sometimes using Tibetan symbols drawn in the air or visualized. They will then place their hands on or slightly above your body, often starting at the head and working downward through the body's energy centers (chakras). You may feel warmth, tingling, or simply deep relaxation. The practitioner might use Reiki hand positions combined with Tibetan techniques such as gentle toning, the use of singing bowls placed on or near your body, or guided visualization. The entire session typically lasts 60-90 minutes.
After Treatment
After the session ends, you may feel deeply relaxed, energized, or emotionally moved—responses vary widely. The practitioner may offer water and suggest you rest for a few minutes before leaving. Some people report feeling lighter, clearer, or more emotionally balanced, while others notice subtle shifts over the following days. It is common to feel sleepy or to experience mild emotional release; the practitioner will normalize these responses and encourage self-care for the next 24 hours, such as drinking plenty of water, resting when possible, and avoiding stressful situations if feasible.
Follow-up Sessions
Many practitioners recommend follow-up sessions to build momentum, typically weekly or bi-weekly initially. The frequency may decrease over time as you stabilize. Some people maintain monthly or quarterly sessions for ongoing support. The practitioner may offer suggestions for self-care practices, such as meditation, journaling, or energy awareness exercises, to complement professional sessions.
