Breitenbush Hot Springs

Breitenbush Hot Springs is a historic worker-owned cooperative, holistic retreat center, and intentional community nestled within 154 acres of pristine old-growth forest in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Established in the late 1970s, Breitenbush operates as an off-the-grid sanctuary powered entirely by renewable energy sources, utilizing geothermal heating from natural mineral springs and a private hydroelectric plant on the Breitenbush River. Dedicated to sustainable living, holistic health, and radical land stewardship, the community provides a safe, sacred container where individuals can unplug from modern distractions, immerse themselves in nature, and engage in deep personal renewal. The retreat center offers a diverse array of holistic wellbeing programs, including personal retreats, silent reflection weekends, yoga, creative workshops, and restorative access to natural mineral hot springs, saunas, and organic vegetarian meals. Rooted in its founding credo of love, unity, and social responsibility, Breitenbush is a pioneering model of intentional community living and experiential healing, welcoming thousands of annual visitors seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
