The Crane Clinic

The Crane Clinic is an acupuncture and natural health clinic at The Small Crane Square, off William Street West, in the West End of Galway city. Our practitioners come from backgrounds in nursing, midwifery, naturopathy, science and nutrition, and each one is registered with their professional body and fully insured.

Acupuncture is at the center of our work, alongside electroacupuncture, cupping and moxibustion. We also offer Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, Amatsu therapy, low level laser therapy, pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) therapy and Ondamed therapy, and we have a dedicated acupuncture in oncology service. We look at the whole person, including lifestyle and emotional factors, and build an individualized plan for each client.

Many people come to us through one of our programs. Our fertility and pregnancy support covers preparing for pregnancy, preparing for sperm or egg freezing, pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. We also run a chronic pain program that combines acupuncture, laser therapy, herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle consultations, and a menopause program that combines acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutrition and lifestyle consultations. Our website lists the common concerns people come to us with, from migraine, stress and sleep to digestive, reproductive and pain conditions.

We take referrals from doctors as well as direct bookings, and we work in association with medical doctors, pain specialists and physiotherapists. Some health insurers recognize sessions with individual practitioners, so we always suggest checking your own policy before your visit.

Our clinic is open early to late by appointment, and walk-ins are welcome. You can book online by choosing your therapy, practitioner and time, or call us first if you are new and would like to talk through what to expect. Gift vouchers are available for most of our therapies.
